I spent most of all my Christmas Eve (fifteen hours, start to end) wrapping this one up for you. This podcast includes as much alternate versions of songs as I could squeeze in an almost a 2.5 hour podcast! It’s a fun listen! Check out the playlist after, so you don’t spoil the ride. Enjoy and thank you!

So Glad I stumbled across this, for 3 years I’ve been working from home , so been listening to Spotify – Bowie , Marillion , Radiohead , doors , floyd etc , back in February, thought I’d listen to all 15 Studio albums , back to back , in Chronological order , and that’s all I do now ( alongside working of Course ) 5 albums a day , constantly , Monday to Friday , unhealthily obsessed , helps me concentrate – now I ‘ve discovered this , excellent . one Day I’ll remember other artists exist
Superb Sunday morning accompaniment. Cheers Doc!
Hello Doc.
I wish you could dedicate a Podcast to the “SINGLE VERSIONS”.
US & UK SINGLES plus some rare international, all in chronological order, first the band and then the members, all properly doctored and with your comments on the differences between the album track and the single version.
Thanks for your hard work on the shows and the incredible material.
Diego.
I did exactly that when this podcast was a radio show a very long time ago and it’s been something I’ve often thought about doing again for the podcast.
Hey Doc!! What an amazing podcast!! Thank you very much. I hope we all can leave all the dull moments we’ve been through the last year. Stay strong, Fearless!!

Hey Doctor, superb collection here! “Matilda” was the biggest surprise, that alternate had eluded me all these years!
Happy you hear made it through “hell week” in one piece.
Hi Doc
Thanks for this superb post.
Where did you get the extended version of Deja Vu ?
I have been told there is one with 10 verses ?Any idea ?
Thanks a lot , all the best for 2011
The extended portion I added. It’s from Roger’s Us + Them DVD. I haven’t heard anything about the 10 versus.
Hi Doc
Those are the lyrics i found , which does not mean they have been recorded.
Quite interesting.
All the best for 2021
Verse 5]
And if I were a Muslim
And you were a Jew
If I were a Mennonite
And you were an Hindu
Would we exchange
The weight of these chains
Chains of belief
And the carnage on the trains to turn over a new leaf
[Verse 6]
If I had been god
I would not have chosen anyone
I would have laid an even hand
On all my children everyone
Would have been content
To forgo Ramadan and Lent
Time better spent
In the company of friends
Breaking bread and mending nets
[Chorus]
Splish splash hallelujah
Splish splash hallelujah
Splish splash
Splish splash hallelujah
[Pre-Chorus ]
There were ten in the pool
Some black some white
One yellow one drown
Then it was nine
[Chorus]
Splish splash
Splish splash hallelujah
Splish splash hallelujah
Splish splash hallelujah
[Pre-Chorus 2]
There were nine in the pool
The gamble laid
And Cain killed Abel
And then here was eight
[Chorus]
Splish splash
Splish splash hallelujah
Splish splash
Splish splash hallelujah
Splish splash
Splish splash hallelujah
[Pre-Chorus 3]
Eight different stairways
All leading to heaven
And the fox got the chicken
And then there was seven
[Chorus]
Splish splash
Splish splash hallelujah
Hallelujah
Splish splash hallelujah
Splish splash hallelujah
[Pre-Chorus 4]
Seven women all taking
Their kids to the Styx
One slipped on a stone
And then there were six
[Chorus]
Splish splash
Splish splash hallelujah
Splish splash hallelujah
Splish splash
Splish splash hallelujah
[Pre-Chorus 5]
Six pilgrims went under
To get baptized
One never come up
And then there was five
[Chorus]
Splish splash hallelujah
Splish splash hallelujah
Hallelujah
Splish splash
Splish splash hallelujah
[Pre-Chorus 6]
Now five is a number
That spanks of the devil
One took his own life to
Keep things level
[Chorus]
Splish splash
Splish splash hallelujah
Thank you brother
Splish splash hallelujah
Splish splash hallelujah
[Pre-Chorus 7]
With four you can make up
Two tag teams
Ding dong seconds gone
And then there were three
[Chorus]
Splish splash hallelujah
Splish splash hallelujah
Yeah, splish splash
Splish splash hallelujah
[Pre-Chorus 8]
Three fish in a pool
As a general rule
Is one two many
And the there were two
[Chorus]
Splish splash
Splish splash hallelujah
Splish splash hallelujah
Splish splash hallelujah
[Pre-Chorus 9]
There were two in the bed
And the little-one said roll over
You’re dead
Splish splash hallelujah
You’re dead
Splish splash hallelujah
Splish splash hallelujah
[Chorus]
Splish splash hallelujah
Splish splash hallelujah
Splish splash hallelujah
Splish splash hallelujah
[Verse 7]
The champion sits on his golden throne
In his echoing empty magnificent home
Looking out over the field of bones
The last one standing stands alone
[Chorus]
Splish splash hallelujah
Splish splash hallelujah
Splish splash hallelujah
[Verse 8]
The champion sits on his golden throne
In his echoing empty magnificent home
Looking out over the field of bones
The last one standing stands alone
Lay down
Wow! Thanks for this info
Hi all, late to the party but those lyrics are from the live performance Roger made with G.E. Smith something like 5 years ago, in a theatre. No official recordings but a few audio or video clips were posted here or there.
This is an awesome gift! Merry Christmas, Doc!
MUY BUENA SELECCION!!!! FELIZ NAVIDAD, MATT!!!!!!

Thanks Doc. Love a bit of a Floyd treat at Christmas. Excellent job my friend and good to hear that you’re on the mend from the dreaded C-19.

Thank you Paul!
Nice work Doc keep it rockin
Man, this is awesome, great job!!
Wow, Raving and Drooling! I love to hear every single instrument like for example in the Wish you were here-dts-version or echoes-quadro. I find this early version of Raving and Drooling much better better than the original version. Thank you, Doc, for the effort. For everyone in 2021: …stay healthy (and clean)!
