Up Through The Rain

Get your raincoats, because you’ll need them. It’s been day after day of rain where I am, so heres another original from 2011. The flow went off in a different direction this time as I was “recreating” this podcast. Updated, new and improved… It’s one of my favorite themes.  ALSO your chance to WIN a vinyl and DVD copy of Pink Floyd at Pompeii – MCMLXXII! Listen for details!. Good luck and enjoy! Here’s the playlist

  1. Doc,

As always great to hear your podcast, even better to met you in person which I’ve been honored to do three times!!!
Take care and PF rock on! Tell Nick hello from all of us and remember without photos it doesn’t count….lol

  2. Very very nice themed show as usual. Wish you loads of fun at Nick’s gardens. Hope you will have a lot less rain than this show 🙂

  3. Storm was (/is) unofficially the 5th member.

Following Storm perhaps we make Doc the 6th – ridiculous yes but what isn’t in this absurd world. If nothing else he doesn’t argue (even if a storm follows him around – note to PF mgt: let the music be heard). And in the important push to make the past contemporary, the Doc’s replaying with new twists is a joy – setting the standard for keeping band music alive (other group’s would be lucky to have such an advocate).

Don’t forget to donate if you can. NB it’s tariff free.

The macro climate inclement. Doc the umbrella. Let it rain.

  4. My favorite one by far
    It resonates with me
The rain sounds so relaxing and it was so worth waiting for the happy ending !

  5. Thanks for another great podcast, Doc! Glad to finally get a break in the rain every weekend here in Boston, but love the rain effects in this podcast.

    Keep up the great show!

  6. Doc,

Another great production however here in Southern California, we get little rain unless we spin those old ‘environmental’ albums from back in the 70’s.

A few years back, I was dumbfounded for several minutes when they rolled out the tarp to cover the infield at Dodger stadium to protect it from the rain. That’s how little rain we get here.

    A loyal listener,
    Michael B

  7. Hey Doc. Greeting from Rochester NY, where it has been raining off and on for the past week or so. Perfect timing for this podcast.
I took my oldest daughter to see Pompeii. I was floored when she said that she had not seen it yet. Shame on me! But, she loved it. It blew both of us away. The upgrade is amazing!.
Thanks, as always, an amazing podcast. Stay pink!

  8. …it pours. Funny how the amounts of comments increase when a competition is announced. 😉 Perhaps you should combine the next competition/lotter with donations? Oh, by the way, monthly donation sent. <3

  9. Oh Doc…. Glorious! A great flow. Many thanks for this Rainbow ray of sunshine in a very wet England.
    Keith.

  10. A-MA-ZING! As usual, I would say… another great job. Thank you for you work, doc. Donation sent

  11. Hi Doc,

Great show as usual, we just got totally wiped out with rain here in Southern Ontario over the last seven days.
VERY cool to hear the you’re going to Mason’s garden party!
Last year I met Reverend Billy of “Reverend Billy and the Church of Stop Shopping” when he opened for Neil Young in Toronto. He gave me a couple of seeds but was very secretive and wouldn’t tell me what they actually were. I still have them. If I can get them to you before Nick’s party could you secretly plant them in his Garden?

  12. It’s been raining a lot in Georgia too, and forecasted for most of the week coming also.

Yay! I love that you played Syd! I

    I love what I’m hearing today! ❤️

  13. Woohoo thank you my brother. I can’t wait to listen while delivering my Uber eats tonight. PS new York had so much rain except for today. I love the sun. I hope you do another broadcast of summer days during the summer. I loved that podcast. Cheers my brother and thank you ever so much for the work that you put into these podcasts. You are da man!

  14. The rain in the background creates an amazing atmosphere. I’m in northern NJ so I’m sick of the rain this week too but man…. it just really vibes here.

Sending tons of love and good vibes your way!

Hoping a win for the vinyl and video comes my way. If not, it’s not meant to be but I’m still listening and loving and loving and listening.
