Desert Trip FoH

FoH is for Front of House.  This podcast is chuck full of goodies. Roger breaks out three new songs and David adds a guitar solo!  For this episode, we go back to the desert for a crystal clear, front of house recording of Roger’s first weekend performance at Desert Trip, Empire Polo Grounds Indio, California 9. October 2016. It’s a long one. Here’s the playlist

Sverige 89

Its been a while since I posted something from Floyd’s “Another Lapse Tour” and its the first time I’ve posted something from Sweden.  Så, njut av den här utgåvan av Brain Damamge. Det är en utmärkt inspelning från Globe Arena 15, juni 1989.  Här är spellistan!

Sunrise

Good morning!  I can’t believe it took me this long to come up with this idea.  It’s much like the popular “Sundown” podcast from a while back, except this one’s for morning people.  Enjoy it as you get ready for work or on your commute in.  Let me know what you think!  Here’s the playlist.

Us + Them – Greensboro

This is almost like a continuation from the last podcast. It picks up where the other left off.  Lines were very long to get in the venue.  Roger tours with 18 trucks full of gear for his 2017 Us+ Them North American Tour.  Greensboro Coliseum only has three bays to unload, which made it a nightmare for the roadies because it badly slowed their set up time.  They managed to get things set up just in time but not before crowds were supposed to be let in.  Anyway, this is an excellent recording from the floor, center stage.  Greensboro Coliseum, Greensboro, N.C., 18. July, 2017.  Here’s the playlist.

Brain Damaged in Greensboro

Floydpodcast.com hits the road for this edition of Brain Damage and visits the “gate city” Greensboro, North Carolina!  It’s A Fleeting Glimpse Forum member conGREGation and this podcast is the pre & post show party soundtrack for Roger’s concert at the Greensboro Coliseum.  It’s only the “best of” Roger Waters for this podcast and has a really nice flow to it. Perfect for the background at a bar, hanging with friends or for your own private listening. Of all the Roger Waters mix’casts I’ve done, this is my favorite. Here’s the playlist!  Enjoy!

Cleveland 1971

Yes!!!!  It’s another gig from 1971.  This time from Pink Floyd’s most extensive North American tour to date. This podcast features a very nice recording from Emerson Gymnasium, at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio… 6th of November.  It’s just another stop along the tour but the band sounds incredible.  You can tell their having a good time.  Hope you enjoy it as much as the audience did.  Here’s the playlist

Us + Them

Lots of fun at Roger’s rehearsal last night at the Meadowlands.  You can find all about his Us+Them 2017 tour, beginning is Kansas City later this week on Friday 5/26 and ending in Vancouver on 10/28. Roger Waters Us + Them Tour.

Other shows I’ll be attending are:
– 7/18 Greensboro, N.C.
– 9/11 Brooklyn, N.Y.
– 9/27 & 9/28 Boston, MA

Twenty-four hours later, here I am posting this special episode for your enjoyment.  Here’s the playlist  Please be sure to comment below,

Aphrodite

This podcast isn’t about the Greek goddess of love, beauty, pleasure and all that stuff but I’m sure you’ll love, and get much pleasure out of this beauty of a performance from the “’71 Hakone Aphrodite” festival held in Japan, 6th and 7th of August 1971.  That turned out to be quite a run-on sentence, huh?  The Floyd performed both nights but this podcast is of their first night in the land of the rising sun.  There are several sources/recordings from that evening but  all are flawed.  This, is now the only complete document I know of from Hakone, Japan, 6. August, 1971. Here’s the playlistEnjoy!  …and please comment below and/or donate.

Faces of Stone

I’m not going to say what this  is but most of you have been waiting very patiently for this one. I’m not even going to post a playlist here. Google is your friend. Please enjoy!

Cold Connection

It occurred to me that I’ve never done a theme like this.  The title should give it away but its still fun to find the connection burred in each song.  This episode is on the shorter side but I hope you’ll still find it as riveting as all the others.  It’s podcasts like this I hate posting playlists because it spoils the fun, but here it is.  Anyway, don’t be shy, please leave a comment and tell your Pink Floyd friends about floydpodcast.com.
